Person records hold professional, publicly-known information only: names and their spellings, filmographies, roles, and professional facts compiled from open sources — each with its source attached. We never store contact details, addresses, or sensitive personal categories. Building the catalog uses no facial recognition or biometrics; the sole exception is opt-in profile-claim verification (described below), a consent-based check that stores no face data.

If you create an account: your email, a display name, and what you do here — ratings, watchlists, follows, reviews, notification reads. Ratings, follows, and private lists are visible only to you; reviews appear publicly under your display name after moderation. Signing in with Google shares only your email and name with us — never your contacts or anything else.

Claiming your own profile is opt-in. If you choose face verification, you record a short live video that is compared — on our own stateless service — against the public photos already on your catalog page, with a liveness check. We build no face templates and keep no face database: the video and its match scores are used only to decide that one claim, and the video is permanently deleted the moment the claim is decided. You can pick a non-face method instead — connect an official account, post a one-time code, or verify a professional email.

If you prove a claim by connecting an official account — for example YouTube through Google — we use OAuth to read only the minimum needed to confirm the account is the one on the record: for YouTube, your channel's public id/handle. We use it solely to check it matches the record; we never post on your behalf, and we do not store your Google or YouTube data beyond noting that the check passed. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Cookies here do three jobs: keep you signed in, remember your theme, and remember your language. There are no advertising pixels and no third-party trackers. Server logs record zero-result search terms (normalized, not tied to you) so we can fix coverage gaps — that is the extent of "analytics".

The database and file storage run on Supabase in Frankfurt, Germany (EU); the site is served by Vercel. Account passwords are handled by Supabase Auth and never visible to us.

For account deletion, data export, or removal of personal information from a catalog page, use the corrections & takedown form or email corrections@menascreendb.com — takedown and privacy-erasure requests are handled with priority.
