Facts are compiled from open and licensed sources only: Wikidata, Wikipedia, TMDB (within its terms, with attribution), official channels, festival and film-board records, and openly published press releases — plus first-party submissions from the industry itself. We never scrape closed databases. Every asserted field carries its source, method, and confidence.

A clean page means the data behind it is clean: verified facts (a human with authority reviewed them against sources) and multi-source confirmedfacts (independent sources agree — confirmed by a deterministic rule, with every piece of evidence logged; AI can propose, but only the rule can promote, and only a human can grant "verified") show no badge at all. What still shows is what genuinely helps: Announced — not yet released (a future title, listed the moment it broke), Under dispute (conflicting sources — we show the dispute instead of guessing), and a small neutral dot on facts still awaiting confirmation. Every record page carries a Data & sources panel with the receipts, field by field. A blank always beats a wrong guess: missing fields stay missing until a source earns them.

In order: exact match over a graph of known spellings (every title stores its variants — chat-Arabic, Franco-Arabic, dialect forms); fuzzy trigram similarity for misspellings; full-text matching; a phonetic Latin–Arabic fold; an AI transliteration rescue; a keyboard-layout flip; and a did-you-mean net. Arabic is normalized script-aware — we never fold Arabic into Latin. Plot-description search exists but sits behind a public quality bar it has not yet passed — see the benchmark; it ships when the score does. Try the impossible searches.

Every discovery sighting is logged with its detection time; when a title is drafted from an announcement, the record keeps a permanent "first listed" timestamp and the measured latency from announcement to listing. Those stamps are shown on title pages and the live wire — they are measurements, not marketing.

"Popular this week" blends the last seven days of follows with each title's prominence score (a deterministic function of credits and coverage) — no editorial thumb, no paid placement. The charts rank by prominence alone: connectivity, external corroboration, record completeness, and freshness. User ratings will drive charts once enough real votes exist — never before. The personal "Because you follow" shelf is computed from genres you follow and is visible only to you.

Synopses are written — by AI from structured facts (always labeled), or by humans — never copied or paraphrased from any published prose. Images enter through four disclosed paths only: rights-holder upload, an explicit licence, Wikimedia Commons (free licences, attribution kept), or TMDB — whose catalog images we store at bounded resolution and display with attribution. Every image row records its source, rights basis, and licence, and the takedown path removes any contested image fast. Rights holders can submit artwork here. A title with no image carries its fingerprint — a generated mark unique to the record, never a wrong or borrowed image.

Anyone can report an error or a missing credit. Corrections land in a review queue with status tracking; professionals can claim their own page and correct it with authority. Records fixed via community reports carry the credit.

A professional can claim their own page by recording a short live video, with their consent. When the record has enough public photos, an automated comparison (a stateless face check with fixed, published thresholds) can verify the claim on the spot; anything short of a full pass goes to a human reviewer. Either way the video is permanently deleted the moment a decision is made — no face database is ever built, and the comparison is never used for anything but that one claim. Approvals stay contestable for seven days, and a verified badge means exactly one thing: the person behind the page proved who they are. Their corrections then carry the highest authority on their own record.
يمكن لأي محترف المطالبة بصفحته عبر تسجيل فيديو قصير مباشر، بموافقته. وحين يحمل السجل صوراً علنية كافية، تستطيع مقارنة آلية (فحص وجه لحظي بعتبات ثابتة ومعلنة) توثيق المطالبة فوراً؛ وكل ما دون الاجتياز الكامل يذهب إلى مراجع بشري. وفي الحالتين يُحذف الفيديو نهائياً لحظة صدور القرار — لا تُبنى قاعدة وجوه أبداً، ولا تُستخدم المقارنة لأي غرض سوى تلك المطالبة وحدها. وتبقى الموافقات قابلة للاعتراض سبعة أيام، والشارة الموثّقة تعني شيئاً واحداً بالضبط: صاحب الصفحة أثبت هويته. وعندها تحمل تصحيحاته أعلى صلاحية على سجله.
